You are invited to a half-day virtual event on Wednesday, April 21 (11:00am – 4:30pm ET) to see biotechnology skill-building in action as educators from Hudson Alpha, DNA Learning Center, Biobuilder, miniPCR, Biotility UF, and Illumina demonstrate practical, easily replicated classroom activities high school teachers can do with their students this spring and next Fall. Dr. David Stegall, Deputy Superintendent, NC Department of Public Instruction, will kick off the event and welcome participants. Each presentation will be 30 minutes and staff from all participating organizations and Carolina will be available to answer questions via chat and provide assistance throughout the event.
Professional development certificates will be provided to all participants. A recording of the presentations will be provided one month after the event. One-year Carolina Biosimulator licenses will be given free of charge to five event participants during this event. Learn more about the Biosimulator, an open-world lab simulator built on the Epic Games engine. Registrants must be present to win giveaway items. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Carolina - InnovATEBIO Scholarship Fund.
